Poland: Industrial output grows at fastest pace in over one year in September
Industrial production rose 5.9% year-on-year in September (August: +1.5% yoy), marking the strongest expansion since May 2019. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing output gained traction in September, while mining and quarrying production fell at a sharper pace compared to the previous month.
On a monthly basis, industrial output increased 3.0% in seasonally-adjusted terms in September, which was notably better than August’s 0.6% expansion. Meanwhile, annual average variation of industrial production was stable at August’s minus 1.7% in September.
