Poland: Industrial output growth moderates in March
Industrial output grew 5.6% year-on-year in March, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS). This was down from February’s 6.9% reading, owing to a broad-based moderation. Softer gains in mining and quarrying and in manufacturing output were recorded, while the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply swung from expansion to contraction.
All told, annual average growth in industrial output rose to 6.1% from 5.7% in February.
