Poland: Inflation hits highest level since September 2020 in March
Consumer prices rose 1.00% from the previous month in March, picking up from February’s 0.50% rise and largely reflecting rising price pressures for transport.
Inflation increased to 3.2% in March, above February’s 2.4%. March’s result represented the highest inflation rate since September 2020. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.0% in March (February: 3.1%). Lastly, core inflation ticked up to 3.9% from the previous month’s 3.7%.
