Poland: Inflation increases in April
Inflation increased to 2.4% in April from March’s 2.0%. The pick-up was broad-based, with greater price pressures recorded for food and non-alcoholic beverages, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, and transportation.
The trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 7.0% in April (March: 8.0%).
Lastly, consumer prices increased 1.10% in April over the previous month, picking up from the 0.20% increase recorded in March. April’s result marked the highest reading since March 2023.
