Poland: Inflation falls in July
Consumer prices dropped 0.20% from the previous month in July, contrasting June’s 0.60% increase. July’s print was largely driven by falling prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as for clothing and footwear.
Meanwhile, inflation came in at 3.0% in July, following June’s 3.3%, thus moving closer to the Central Bank’s target band of 2.5% plus or minus 1.0 percentage point. Meanwhile, the trend was unchanged with annual average inflation coming in at June’s 3.3% in July. Core inflation ticked up to 4.3% from June’s 4.1%.
