Poland: Inflation recedes in June
Consumer prices rose 0.10% in June over the previous month, below the 0.30% rise recorded in May, according to a flash estimate. June’s result marked the softest rise in prices since December 2020 and largely reflected easing price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as for electricity, gas and other fuels.
Inflation inched down to 4.4% in June, edging down from May’s 4.7%. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.3% in June (May: 3.2%).
