Poland: Inflation slows in October
Consumer prices rose 0.4% from a month earlier in October, following a 0.2% month-on-month increase in September. October’s reading was driven largely by higher food prices, as well as higher prices for clothing and footwear amid the back-to-school season. Core consumer prices were flat month-on-month in September—the latest month for which data is available.
Inflation dipped to 1.8% from 1.9% in September, remaining below the midpoint of the Central Bank’s target range of 2.5% plus or minus 1.0 percentage point. Core inflation edged down to 0.8% in September, while annual average inflation was stable from a month earlier at 1.8% in October.
