Poland: Decline in retail sales softens in December
Retail sales slid 0.8% year-on-year in December (November: -5.3% yoy). December’s softer drop was largely driven by more moderate contractions in motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts sales, as well as in textiles, clothing and footwear sales.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of retail sales coming in at minus 2.3% in December, down from November’s minus 1.6%.
