Poland: Growth in retail sales accelerates in March
Retail sales rose 9.2% from the same month a year earlier in March, accelerating from February’s already strong 7.9% year-on-year increase. March’s result was primarily driven by buoyant growth in sales of food; beverages and tobacco products; textiles, clothing and footwear; pharmaceuticals and furniture, radio, TV and household appliances.
Meanwhile, average annual growth in retail sales in March came in at 7.9%, marginally down from February’s 8.0%.
