Poland: Retail sales growth loses pace in March
Retail sales grew 6.0% compared to the same month a year earlier in March, which was a deterioration from February’s 6.7% increase. The deceleration was largely due to weaker motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts sales. In addition, furniture, radio, tv and household appliances sales contracted at a sharper rate.
Meanwhile, annual average retail sales growth rose to 3.4% in March (February: +3.3%), signaling an improving trend in the retail trade sector.
