Poland: Retail sales bounce back solidly in July
Nominal retail sales rose 7.4% year-on-year in July, coming in above June’s 5.3% increase. July’s expansion was broad-based, with the fastest increases recorded for sales of furniture, radio, TV and household appliances; pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and orthopaedic equipment; and other retail sales in non-specialized stores.
Despite the upturn, annual average growth in nominal retail sales inched down to 7.3% in July from 7.4% in June.
