Poland: Retail sales continue to expand robustly in February
Retail sales rose 7.9% from the same month a year earlier in February, decelerating slightly from January’s 8.2% year-on-year increase. February’s result was primarily driven by buoyant growth in sales of textiles; clothing and footwear; pharmaceuticals and furniture, radio, TV and household appliances. On the other hand, growth in sales of motor vehicles was weaker than in the previous month.
Meanwhile, average annual growth in retail sales in February came in at 8.0%, marginally up from January’s 7.9%.
