Poland: Retail sales growth gains momentum in August
Retail sales rose 3.1% year on year in August (July: +2.1% yoy). The reading was due to a more moderate drop in furniture, radio, tv and household appliances sales. That said, motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts sales lost pace.
Meanwhile, annual average retail sales growth fell to 9.8% in August (July: +11.3%). This signals a worsening trend in the retail trade sector.
