Poland: Retail sales growth slows in May
Retail sales expanded 19.1% year-on-year in May (April: +25.7% yoy). May’s notable downturn was largely due to decelerating sales of motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts. Moreover, textiles, clothing and footwear sales also slowed from the previous month.
Meanwhile, annual average retail sales growth rose to 4.1% in May (April: +1.8%), signaling an improving trend in the retail trade sector.
