Romania: Industrial output dips in October
Industrial production slid 4.9% year on year in October (September: -4.3% yoy). October’s weakening was partly due to a sharper fall in manufacturing output. In addition, mining and quarrying production fell.
On a monthly basis, industrial output decreased 1.2% in seasonally adjusted terms in October, contrasting September’s 0.6% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 5.0%, down from September’s minus 4.5% reading.
