Romania: Inflation drops to over three-year low in October
Consumer prices rose 0.22% in October over the previous month, swinging from September’s 0.14% drop. October’s result marked the highest reading since April and largely reflected higher prices for food and non-food goods, as well as for services.
Inflation came in at 2.2% in October, edging down from September’s 2.5% and marking the lowest reading in over three years. Meanwhile, annual average inflation dropped to 2.9% in October (September: 3.0%). Lastly, core consumer prices rose 3.2% on an annual basis in October, following September’s 3.4%.
