Romania: Inflation falls to lowest level since June 2021 in June
Inflation came in at 4.9% in June, which was down from May’s 5.1%. June’s figure represented the lowest inflation rate in three years. Looking at the details of the release, the decline was broad-based, with prices pressures for food, non-food goods, and services all softening in June
Meanwhile, annual average inflation fell to 7.2% in June (May: 7.6%).
Lastly, consumer prices rose a seasonally adjusted 0.24% from the previous month in June, contrasting May’s 0.11% fall.
