Romania: Inflation falls to over two-year low in April
Inflation eased to 5.9% in April, following March’s 6.6%. April’s reading marked the lowest inflation rate since August 2021. The moderation was broad-based, with reduced price pressures recorded for food, non-food goods, and services.
Annual average inflation fell to 8.1% in April (March: 8.5%).
Lastly, consumer prices rose a seasonally adjusted 0.08% in April over the previous month, below the 0.42% increase logged in March. April’s result marked the weakest reading since November 2023.
