Romania: Inflation edges up in February
Consumer prices rose 0.41% over the previous month in February, easing from January’s 1.33% increase, which marked the sharpest increase in prices since January 2013. February’s softer increase was attributed to a weaker growth in prices for food and non-food goods and services.
Inflation came in at 3.2% in February, edging up from January’s 3.0%. Meanwhile, annual average inflation remained stable at January’s 2.6% in February. Lastly, core inflation inched down to 3.4% from January’s 3.6%.
