Romania: Inflation recedes in November
Consumer prices increased 0.13% from the previous month in November, moderating from the 0.22% rise logged in October. The slowdown was broad-based, with lower price pressures recorded for non-food goods and services, while prices for food swung into contraction in November.
Inflation came in at 2.1% in November, following from October’s 2.2% and marking the lowest inflation rate since September 2017. Accordingly, the trend pointed down mildly, with annual average inflation coming in at 2.8% in November (October: 2.9%). Lastly, core inflation fell to 3.1% from the previous month’s 3.2%.
