Romania: Inflation rises in June
Consumer prices increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.08% from the previous month in June, picking up from May’s 0.05% rise. Looking at the details of the release, services prices rose at a quicker pace in June compared to the previous month, while price pressures for non-food goods increased.
Inflation came in at 2.6% in June, above May’s 2.3% print. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 3.3% in June (May: 3.4%). Core inflation fell to 0.1% from May’s 0.2%.
