Romania: Inflation stable in May
Consumer prices increased 0.5% month-on-month in May, down from 0.6% in April. Although prices were up across-the-board, the food and services categories led the acceleration.
Inflation was stable from April at 4.1%, landing within the Central Bank’s 1.5%–3.5% target range. Meanwhile, annual average inflation inched down to 4.2% from 4.3% in April.
