Romania: Inflation ticks up in April
Consumer prices increased 0.6% from a month earlier in April, up from the 0.5% month-on-month increase in March. Prices were up across-the-board, lifted primarily by the food and services categories.
Inflation ticked up to 4.1% from 4.0% in March, climbing further away from the Central Bank’s 1.5%–3.5% target range. Meanwhile, annual average inflation inched down to 4.3% from 4.4% in March.
