Russia: Industrial production slows in December
Industrial output growth lost steam in December, according to the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat). Industrial production increased 2.0% in annual terms, down from November’s 2.4%. The deceleration was driven by slower mining and quarrying activity along with water supply production.
For the full year 2018, industrial production grew 2.9%, above 2017’s 2.1%. On a monthly basis, industrial production grew 0.1% in December, rebounding from November’s 0.4% fall.
