Russia: Inflation rises to highest level since August 2019 in November
Consumer prices jumped 0.71% over the previous month in November, accelerating from October’s 0.43% upturn. November’s result marked the strongest rise in monthly prices since April and was largely driven a marked increase in prices for fruits and vegetables.
Inflation edged up to 4.2% in November, from 4.0% in the previous month, marking the highest reading since August 2019. Meanwhile, annual average inflation remained unchanged at October’s 3.2% in November. Lastly, core inflation rose to 3.8% in November from 3.6% in the previous month.
