Saudi Arabia: Drop in consumer prices continues to soften in August
Consumer prices rose 0.1% over the previous month in August, matching July’s result. The print mainly reflected higher prices for food and beverages as well as furnishings, household equipment and maintenance.
In August, consumer prices fell 1.1% in annual terms, above the 1.3% drop in July and the softest decline so far this year. Meanwhile, the annual average variation in consumer prices declined from July’s minus 0.1% to minus 0.4% drop in August.
