Saudi Arabia: Inflation comes in at highest level since June 2021 in April

Consumer prices rose 0.43% in April over the previous month, accelerating from the 0.27% rise logged in March. April’s uptick was the highest reading since July 2020. Price pressures increased for food, but eased for transport and utilities.

Inflation edged up to 2.3% in April, slightly above March’s 2.0%. April’s result represented the highest inflation rate since June 2021. Annual average inflation fell to 1.9% in April (March: 2.2%).
