Serbia: Economic sentiment hits highest reading since April 2022 in November
Economic sentiment came in at 102.3 in November, up notably from October’s 96.0. November’s result marked the best performance since April 2022. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected improved sentiment in the industrial sector and stronger sentiment in the construction sector. Additionally, confidence in the services and retail sectors improved in the surveyed month. Lastly, consumer confidence increased in November.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index increased in November.
