Serbia: Economic sentiment decreases in July
Economic sentiment came in at 103.4 in July, down from June’s 106.3. That said, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected declining sentiment in the industrial, retail and services sectors. In addition, consumer confidence softened in July. More positively, sentiment in the construction sector improved.
Regarding indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index fell in July.
