Serbia: Industrial production growth accelerates in August
Industrial output expanded 5.8% in year-on-year terms in August, which followed July’s 2.7% increase. August’s improvement was driven by a rebound in mining and quarrying output and sturdier manufacturing production growth.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.9% in August, up from July’s minus 1.3%. On a monthly basis, factory output grew 1.9% in seasonally adjusted terms in August, contrasting July’s 0.4% contraction.
