Serbia: Growth in industrial output picks up in June
In June, industrial production expanded 3.9% over the same month last year, according to figures released by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia. This was up from May’s 0.5% increase and represented the 14th consecutive month of expansion.
June’s increase was broad-based, with the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply; manufacturing; and mining and quarrying sectors all reporting solid year-on-year growth. In month-on-month terms, industrial production expanded a seasonally-adjusted 1.9% in June, up from May’s 1.7%. Annual average growth in industrial production dipped from 5.0% in May to 4.8% in June.
