Serbia: Industrial output growth dims in July
In July, industrial production expanded 1.7% over the same month last year, according to figures released by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia. This was down from June’s 3.9% increase but represented the 15th consecutive month of expansion. July’s increase was driven by the manufacturing sector. In contrast, the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply; and mining and quarrying sectors declined year-on-year.
In month-on-month terms, industrial production decreased a seasonally-adjusted 2.8% in July, contrasting June’s 1.5% increase. Annual average growth in industrial production dipped from 4.8% in June to 4.6% in July.
