Serbia: Inflation rises in July
Inflation increased to 4.3% in July from June’s 3.8%, but remained within the Central Bank’s 1.5–4.5% target band. The rise was primarily driven by a rebound in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, price pressures for transportation intensified.
Meanwhile, annual average inflation fell to 6.6% in July (June: 7.3%).
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.40% from the previous month in July, following the 0.07% increase recorded in June.
