Serbia: Inflation moderates in August
Consumer prices fell 0.12% from the previous month in August, swinging from the 0.22% rise logged in July and marking the sharpest fall in prices since May. Looking at the details of the release, August’s reading largely reflected falling transport prices.
Inflation came in at 1.9% in August, edging down from July’s 2.0%. Annual average inflation rose to 1.5% in August (July: 1.4%). Lastly, harmonized dropped to 1.9% in August, from July’s 2.2%.
