Serbia: Inflation rises in August
Consumer prices increased 0.3% from the previous month in August, contrasting July’s 0.3% decrease. According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, August’s figure was driven by higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages; and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels.
Inflation increased from 2.4% in July to 2.6% in August, remaining within the Central Bank’s target range of 3.0% plus or minus 1.5 percentage points. Annual average inflation was unchanged at 2.3%.
