Singapore: Inflation falls in October but remains elevated
Inflation came in at 6.7% in October, down from 7.5% in September, which had marked an over-decade high. The decline was driven by lower housing and private transport price pressures, while food price inflation rose. Meanwhile, core inflation fell from 5.3% to 5.1%.
Finally, consumer prices fell 0.40% month on month in October, contrasting Septembers 0.43% increase.
