Singapore: Inflation remains steady in April
Inflation came in at 2.7% in April, unchanged from March’s result. Looking at the details of the release, the change in prices for food rose at a more moderate rate in April, while prices for housing and utilities rose at a quicker pace.
Annual average inflation fell to 3.8% in April (March: 4.0%). Meanwhile, core inflation was unchanged, coming in at March’s 3.1% in April.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.09% over the previous month in April, contrasting the 0.10% drop recorded in March.
