Slovakia: Industrial output deteriorates in February
Industrial output slid 0.2% compared to the same month of the previous year in February, which contrasted January’s 3.1% increase. The figure was largely driven by a deterioration in manufacturing output growth. In addition, mining and quarrying output fell markedly.
On a monthly basis, industrial output fell 1.5% in seasonally-adjusted terms in February, which was marginally better than January’s 1.4% fall. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 10.9%, down from January’s 11.1% reading.
