Slovakia: Harmonized inflation drops to lowest level since April 2022 in June
Harmonized inflation dropped to 11.3% in June from May’s 12.3%. June’s result marked the lowest inflation rate since April 2022. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and housing and utilities grew at a slower pace in June. Additionally, prices for transportation declined at a quicker rate.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down mildly, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 13.9% in June (May: 14.1%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 10.8% in June, from the previous month’s 11.9%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.23% over the previous month in June, swinging from May’s 0.06% drop.
