Slovakia: Harmonized inflation edges up in February
Consumer prices rose 0.2% month-on-month in February, down from January’s 1.1% increase. According to data released by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic (SOSR), prices for clothing registered the sharpest drop. Meanwhile, prices for transport, and restaurants and hotels, rose slightly.
February’s harmonized inflation ticked up to 2.3%, after recording 2.2% in January. On the other hand, annual average harmonized inflation remained at 2.5%, unchanged from January’s result.
