Slovakia: Inflation hits four-month high in April
Consumer prices increased 0.20% over the previous month in April, moderating from the 0.50% rise recorded in March. The reading was driven by moderating price pressures for clothing and footwear and transportation. In addition, prices for health dropped.
Inflation came in at 1.6% in April, above March’s 1.4%. April’s figure marked the highest inflation rate since December 2020. Annual average inflation was unchanged at March’s 1.6% in April. Lastly, harmonized inflation ticked up to 1.7% in April from March’s 1.5% increase.
