Slovenia: Economic sentiment deteriorates in October
Economic sentiment fell to 92.6 in October from September’s 93.2. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected deteriorating sentiment in the industrial, construction and services sectors. Meanwhile, sentiment in the retail sector increased in the surveyed month. Lastly, consumer confidence increased in October.
Referring to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations deteriorated, while the economic uncertainty index fell in October.
