Slovenia: Economic sentiment improves in November
Economic sentiment came in at 93.8 in November, up from October’s 92.8. November’s result marked the best reading since May. Despite the uptick, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a downbeat near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected improved sentiment in the industrial sector, which rose to a six-month high. Moreover, confidence in the construction sector strengthened and consumer sentiment increased in November. Conversely, confidence in the services sector cooled, and sentiment in the retail sector deteriorated in the surveyed month.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index remained stable in November.
