Slovenia: Economic sentiment rises in September
Economic sentiment came in at 93.2 in September, up from August’s 91.4. That said, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected improved confidence in the construction sector, while confidence in the services sector also improved in September. These developments overshadowed deteriorating sentiment in the industrial sector. In the meantime, sentiment in the retail sector cooled in the month. Finally, consumer sentiment rose in September.
Considering indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations improved, while the economic uncertainty index rose in September.
