Slovenia: Industrial output deteriorates in July
Industrial output plunged 6.4% year on year in July (June: -2.3% yoy). The notable drop was partly driven by a deterioration in manufacturing production. In contrast, mining and quarrying output contracted at a softer pace.
On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped 2.5% in seasonally adjusted terms in July, which was significantly below June’s flat reading. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at a two-year low of minus 3.6%, down from June’s minus 3.0% reading.
