Slovenia: Industrial output records quickest growth in over two years in April
Industrial output bounced back and rose 7.4% compared to the same month a year earlier in April, which contrasted March’s 7.6% decrease. April’s print marked the best reading since January 2022. Looking at the details of the release, April’s rebound was broad-based: Manufacturing, and mining and quarrying production rebounded, while electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply activity contracted at a softer rate.
Accordingly, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 4.4%, up from March’s minus 5.6% reading.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rebounded, rising 5.9% in April (March: -6.5% mom).
