Slovenia: Industrial output posts quickest growth since January in August
Industrial output expanded 4.8% compared to the same month of the previous year in August, which followed July’s 4.1% increase. The figure marked the best reading since January. August’s upturn came on the back of pickups in manufacturing and mining and quarrying production.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, factory output rose at a quicker rate of 1.2% in August (July: +0.5% mom), the best result since March. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at an over one-year low of 5.0% in August, down from July’s 5.1%.
