Slovenia: Industrial output records slowest expansion since February in July
Industrial production growth slowed to 8.9% year-on-year in July (June: +20.3% yoy), marking the worst reading since February. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing output moderated in July, and mining and quarrying output swung to contraction.
On a monthly basis, factory output fell 1.8% in seasonally-adjusted terms in July, contrasting June’s 2.3% expansion and marked the worst result since April 2020. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 7.5% in July (June: +6.3%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.
