Slovenia: Industrial production growth rises in April
Industrial production rose 6.9% over the same month of the previous year in April, marking an acceleration from a revised 6.1% annual upturn in March (previously reported: +6.4% year-on-year). Looking at a breakdown of the sub-sectors, mining and quarrying output rebounded in April, growing at a double-digit pace, while the manufacturing sector expanded at a swifter rate. Conversely, electricity, gas and water supply contracted after expanding at a stellar pace in March.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial output growth came in flat in April following a 0.5% expansion in March. Annual average growth in industrial production rose to 8.5% in April, up from 8.1% in March.
