Slovenia: Industrial production sinks to near five-year low in December
After losing stride a month earlier (November: +1.8% year-on-year), annual industrial production plummeted 3.1% in December. A breakdown by subcomponents shows an across-the-board contraction, with mining and quarrying reporting the highest loses.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial output fell 1.5% in December, after decreasing 0.5% a month earlier. Meanwhile, average annual growth in industrial production fell to 4.7%, down from 6.0% in November.
